Advise our clients on Mexican labor law. Mexico’s Federal Labor Law (Ley Federal del Trabajo) contains significant protections for employees and differs significantly from labor laws in the United States and other countries outside of Mexico. This Federal Labor Law includes regulations governing employment contracts, required minimum wages within Mexico, and worker benefits such as profit sharing and vacation bonuses. It also contains information on union regulations. Companies currently conducting business in Mexico, as well as international companies investigating the feasibility of operating within Mexico, should be aware of these workforce protections to comply with applicable labor laws and regulations. Our experience allows us to develop planning strategies to prevent labor problems and labor litigation. Additionally, we provide advice to clients on how to maintain compliance with Mexican labor legislation.
